WORDS THAT IGNITE: GREATER! 1 John 4:4
The Greek word “greater” (μείζων, meízōn) means stronger, more powerful, and superior. What John is saying—plain and simple:
God’s Spirit inside you is stronger than any spiritual force against you
The enemy may be loud, deceptive, or intimidating—but he is not God’s equal
This isn’t a close contest. God doesn’t barely win—He has already won

Lately, which aspects of the Holy Spirit have you been connecting with most: His comfort, power, fire, peace, joy, healing, guidance, or strength?
When you hear the phrase “unseen realm,” what does it mean to you personally? Why do you think it’s easy for us to live as if only the visible world matters?
Read Colossians 1:16. The message said, “What we can’t see shapes what we can see.” In what ways have unseen realities—like beliefs, fear, pride, faith, or even lies—shaped your decisions, attitudes, or direction in life?
Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our struggle isn’t ultimately against people. Why do relationships, conflict, or culture so often feel like the real enemy?
Why do you think spiritual curiosity (tarot, psychics, energy, “the universe,” self-enlightenment) is growing, even among people who embrace Christianity?
Read 2 Corinthians 4:4; John 12:31; Ephesians 2:2. What stood out to you about Satan being real yet limited in power? How does that truth affect the way you approach fear, anxiety, or spiritual opposition?
Read John 8:44. If deception is one of the enemy’s primary tactics, how do you see it shaping our culture—and are there areas in your own life where it may be quietly influencing your thinking or choices?
What are some of the most common lies you’ve personally wrestled with about God, yourself, our world, or the purpose of life?
Read Ephesians 1:21-22. How does knowing that Jesus has authority over everything—seen and unseen—change the way you approach everyday areas like work, parenting, relationships, or decision-making?
Which one best describes where you are right now, and why? 1. I’ve been focused mainly on the battles I can see or my personal battles. 2. I want to live with greater awareness of the unseen battle but not be obsessed with it. 3. I’m choosing to live in confidence that greater is He who is in me. (1 John 4:4).
