THINK, DISCUSS, LIVE: These questions are great for personal reflection, group discussion, or both. They’re meant to help you grow in your faith, deepen your connection with your Jesus friends, and live it out in the world around you.

  1. What was one fashion, music or cultural change that made an impact on your life?

  2. Read 2 Corinthians 3:18. What is one area of your life where you would like God to make you more like Jesus? Why is this, and what would you do with the new you?

  3. Read Ephesians 5:18. When you hear the prayer, “Fill me, Holy Spirit,” what comes to mind? Does it make you feel excited, nervous, hopeful, challenged, or something else? Is this a prayer you pray regularly? Why or why not?

  4. Read Ephesians 5:18. Paul compares being controlled (drunk) by wine with being filled by the Holy Spirit. What are some things people turn to today when they feel stressed, anxious, or discouraged instead of turning to God? What are you most tempted to rely on when life gets hard?

  5. Read Luke 4:1, 14, 18. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit, led by the Holy Spirit, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. What does that teach us about our need for God’s power and presence? Where do you need the Holy Spirit’s help most right now?

  6. Looking at John 3:34; Ephesians 5:18: The phrase “be filled” could be translated “keep being filled.” Why is it important to recognize that dependence on the Holy Spirit is a daily and ongoing need? What practices help you stay connected to God throughout the day?

  7. The message said, “Being filled isn’t about your effort; it’s about your availability.” What do you think that means? Is there anything God may be asking you to surrender so you can be more available to Him?

  8. According to Ephesians 5:19–21, What are some signs that a person is being filled with the Holy Spirit? Which of these do you see most in your life right now: joy, worship, gratitude, humility, healthy relationships, or something else? Which area would you like God to grow in you?

  9. Take a moment and pray this simple but dangerous prayer: “Holy Spirit, fill me today. Transform me from the inside out—help me become more like Jesus and empower me to live for Your purposes. Amen.” Make this prayer a part of your daily routine. Start each day by inviting the Holy Spirit to lead you, empower you, and transform you. Trust His presence and power in every moment.

PRAYER OPTIONS: Practice praying out loud to grow your faith—even if it feels uncomfortable. Try it with people you trust and feel safe with.

  • Share one thing you are thankful for (a praise) and one thing you need prayer for (a request). Then pray together for each other’s requests.

  • Prayer Partnership: What’s on your heart that we can partner with you and bring it to the Lord?

  • Read and put into practice James 5:13-16. Pray for the sick, praise Him for everything, confess  your sins, pray for physical, spiritual and emotional healing.

  • Praise Sentences: Short prayers thanking God, then pray for shared needs.

  • Prayer Clusters: Groups of 2–3, share requests, pray together, and encourage each other during the week.
