THINK, DISCUSS, LIVE: These questions are great for personal reflection, group discussion, or both. They’re meant to help you grow in your faith, deepen your connection with your Jesus friends, and live it out in the world around you.
Think back to when you first chose to follow Jesus. What was happening in your life at that time? How were you feeling in your heart when you made that decision? How did forgiveness play an important role in that moment?
According to Psalm 32:1-2, what does David describe as the greatest blessing? Why do you think forgiveness is one of God’s greatest blessings?
Why is praying “Lord, forgive me” often more difficult than it sounds? What tends to keep people from admitting they are wrong?
Read Psalm 32:3-4. Have you ever felt bad about something you said or did that hurt someone else? What happened, and how did it affect you?
What symptoms of unconfessed sin do you see in David’s life? Have you ever experienced any of those same struggles in your own life? Which of those signs are you most likely to see in yourself when you are struggling?
Read Psalm 32:5. What changed when David finally confessed his sin? What stands out to you about God’s response? How does confession lead to freedom rather than condemnation?
Read Matthew 6:14-15. What about this verse is so painful to hear and why? What do Jesus’ words teach us about the connection between receiving forgiveness and extending forgiveness?
Read Ephesians 4:31-32 How does remembering God’s forgiveness help us forgive others? How can bitterness hurt our relationship with God and other people?
What practical step/s is God calling you to take this week?
What sin/s do you need to confess to God?
Has God brought someone to mind whom you need to forgive?
Has God brought someone to mind that you need to seek forgiveness from?
CANVAS + Pastor Kevin discusses the topic of forgiveness that is worth watching on your own or discussing together as a group.

PRAYER OPTIONS: Practice praying out loud to grow your faith—even if it feels uncomfortable. Try it with people you trust and feel safe with.
Share one thing you are thankful for (a praise) and one thing you need prayer for (a request). Then pray together for each other’s requests.
Prayer Partnership: What’s on your heart that we can partner with you and bring it to the Lord?
Read and put into practice James 5:13-16. Pray for the sick, praise Him for everything, confess your sins, pray for physical, spiritual and emotional healing.
Praise Sentences: Short prayers thanking God, then pray for shared needs.
Prayer Clusters: Groups of 2–3, share requests, pray together, and encourage each other during the week.
