JARED MCKINNEY

DECEMBER 12, 15 & 16

She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.”LUKE 10:40

But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.—LUKE 10:41-42

When you live to be noticed by people you live in worry and insecurity.

1. Because God loves me, I have already been noticed.

For God bought you with a high price… 1CORINTHIANS 6:20

But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.—LUKE 10:41-42

2. I can live fulfilled with or without people noticing me.

When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. MATTHEW 6:2

Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. MATTHEW 6:4

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. EPHESIANS 2:10

3. The less I need people to notice me, the more people like me.

When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.PROVERBS 16:7 (ESV)
