THINK, DISCUSS, LIVE: These questions are great for personal reflection, group discussion, or both. They’re meant to help you grow in your faith, deepen your connection with your Jesus friends, and live it out in the world around you.
What’s your favorite fruit or fruit flavor? What does that flavor remind you of—a person, place, season, or special memory?
Read Galatians 5:19–23. How do the works of the flesh differ from the fruit of the Spirit? Which work of the flesh do you most want God to remove, and which fruit of the Spirit do you want Him to grow more deeply in you?
Read John 15:4-5 and Galatians 5:16, 25. What do these verses teach about our dependence on the Holy Spirit? How is transformation different from behavior modification? Can you give some examples?
Read 1 John 4:7-10. What are some examples of how the world usually defines love? What are some examples of how God defines love through His actions? Why is it important that God—not our feelings—gets to define love?
Read Romans 5:8 and 1 John 4:9-10. What stands out to you about the way God loved us before we deserved it? How does knowing you are deeply loved by God change or shape the way you see yourself and others?
Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Which description of love comes most naturally to you? Which one is the biggest challenge? What might the Holy Spirit be trying to grow in your life?
Read Philippians 2:3-5 and Galatians 5:13. Think about someone who is hard to love. How could showing patience, kindness, or humility change the way you see or respond to that person?
How would your everyday interactions change if you intentionally viewed every person as a “10”—someone created in God’s image and deeply loved by Him, even when their behavior, beliefs, or actions make them difficult to love or respect?
Read 1 John 4:11-12. Who is one person God may be calling you to love, encourage, forgive, serve, or invite closer to Jesus this week? How could your actions make God’s invisible love visible to them?
Have everyone silently read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 again, replacing the word love with “God’s love for me.” Then read it a second time asking, “Is the Holy Spirit producing this kind of love through me?” End by praying, “Holy Spirit, fill me and produce your real fruit in my life.”
PRAYER OPTIONS: Practice praying out loud to grow your faith—even if it feels uncomfortable. Try it with people you trust and feel safe with.
Share one thing you are thankful for (a praise) and one thing you need prayer for (a request). Then pray together for each other’s requests.
Prayer Partnership: What’s on your heart that we can partner with you and bring it to the Lord?
Read and put into practice James 5:13-16. Pray for the sick, praise Him for everything, confess your sins, pray for physical, spiritual and emotional healing.
Praise Sentences: Short prayers thanking God, then pray for shared needs.
Prayer Clusters: Groups of 2–3, share requests, pray together, and encourage each other during the week.
