Big Idea:  Good deeds lead to good will that open people’s hearts to the good news 

Central Text/s: Matthew 5:13-16; Luke 10:30-33; Romans 3:23-26 

Wins and Words of the Week: Take time to share WINS, (what God did) and WORD, (what God shared with you from His word) that moved you and others forward and closer to Jesus.

Ice Breaker: What was the last ‘good deed’ you witnessed, or were engaged in yourself?  

Questions to Consider:  

1. Discuss some key points you enjoyed from the message. What illustration spoke loudest to you? What challenged your thinking? 
2. How is your relationship with Jesus good news for you? What are 2-3 aspects of that relationship worth sharing with others? 
3. What thoughts or feelings come to mind when you hear the word evangelism? Do you have any stories or personal experiences regarding evangelism?
4. Read Romans 3:23-26. Why do you think many Christians stop at verse 23 when ‘evangelizing’? What good news do you see in verses 24-26? 

Digging Deeper: 

1. Read Luke 10:25-37?  What are some things you notice? With whom do you identify most in the parable?    
2. What is the expert in the law asking?  What makes this parable such an applicable answer?
3. What does it look like in your life to move closer to people that are not part of your ‘tribe?’  Where do you find them?  
4. Describe a time where someone went the ‘extra mile’ for you. What did they do and what impact did it have on your life?  
5. How can you listen to people who are different from or are difficult to be around, sharing in their pain/situation without necessarily agreeing with them?  What helps you to put in this extra effort, to go the extra mile?
6. With which resources could Jesus be calling you to extra generosity? (I.e. love, grace, time, talents, finances.

1. What specific steps will I/We take to live out what we just discussed? 
2. Who can we share this message or truth with? What is their name?
3. Who are you praying for to know Jesus? What is their name?
4. Who will I partner with to keep me accountable so I/We can grow?
