WORDS THAT IGNITE: Truth
The Greek word: (alētheia) Truth, reality, sincerity, integrity, that which is unconcealed. It refers to truth that is solid, dependable, and aligned with God’s character—not just facts, but ultimate reality revealed by God.

THINK, DISCUSS, LIVE: These questions are great for personal reflection, group discussion, or both. They’re meant to help you grow in your faith, deepen your connection with your Jesus friends, and live it out in the world around you.
Can you share a time, physically or spiritually when you thought you were on the right path but realized you were heading in the wrong direction? And what helped you find your way back? A friend, Jesus, GPS?
Read John 14:1-7. Jesus starts by saying, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled.” What’s something in your life or in our world that makes that command feel really hard right now?
When Jesus tells the disciples to “trust in God and trust also in me,” what does trust look like for you in real life? How would you describe it? Where does trust get challenging?
How does Jesus’ promise to prepare a place for believers (John 14:2-4) provide you peace now and hope for the future?
Thomas admits, “We have no idea where you are going.” Where do you feel a bit like Thomas, unsure, confused, or needing clarity in your life or faith right now?
Jesus says, “I am the way.” What does following His way look like compared to following your own way? Can you name a moment when you felt the difference?
Jesus says He is “the truth.” In a world full of “my truth,” where do you see people getting their truth from? What helps you stay grounded in God’s truth?
Jesus says He is “the life.” Describe a time, or give an example where you experienced His kind of life, joy, peace or hope.
How does this present and future promise help you understand Jesus’ words, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” in what you’re facing today? And how could it bring encouragement to someone who is struggling?
Since trusting Jesus is the antidote to a troubled heart, what is one practical step you can take this week to lean into Him as the way, the truth, and the life? And who could walk with you as a source of comfort, peace, and accountability?
TAKING NEW GROUND: This week, Look for the signposts in your life that point to Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life. After identifying them, decide how you will intentionally live out each of those “I am” statements this week. Share your thoughts and experiences with a Jesus or lost friend.
