THINK, DISCUSS, LIVE: These questions are great for personal reflection, group discussion, or both. They’re meant to help you grow in your faith, deepen your connection with your Jesus friends, and live it out in the world around you.

  1. What is the difference between a “safe prayer” and a “dangerous prayer”? Which type do you pray more often and why?

  2. When you hear the prayer “God, use me,” what feelings come up in you—excitement, fear, doubt, pressure, something else? Why do you think that is?

  3. Read Ephesians 2:10. When you hear that God calls you His “masterpiece,” what thoughts or feelings come to mind? How does it change the way you see yourself to know that God intentionally created you and values you deeply?

  4. What do you think it means that He prepared good works for you in advance, and how might that shape the way you pray and live each day?

  5. Why do you think being used by God usually requires faith, risk, or sacrifice? Can you think of a time when you had to trust God with something uncertain?

  6. Read Hebrews 11:1. How would you explain “faith” based on this verse, and what do you think it looks like to actually live it out in everyday life?

  7. The message said the opposite of faith is not doubt, but control. What are some areas of life where people try hardest to control? What is one area in your own life where you struggle to trust God and instead try to control it?

  8. Why do you think money can have such a strong hold on our hearts? How can generosity help us trust God more?

  9. Read Matthew 6:24. We devote time and energy to what we serve. What is one example of this from your own life? How can the love of money compete with a sincere desire to pray, “God, use me”?

  10. Read 2 Corinthians 7:9. What do you think it looks like to give with a cheerful heart, and how can taking even a small step help you pray, “God, use me”?

PRAYER OPTIONS: Practice praying out loud to grow your faith—even if it feels uncomfortable. Try it with people you trust and feel safe with.

  • Share one thing you are thankful for (a praise) and one thing you need prayer for (a request). Then pray together for each other’s requests.

  • Prayer Partnership: What’s on your heart that we can partner with you and bring it to the Lord?

  • Read and put into practice James 5:13-16. Pray for the sick, praise Him for everything, confess  your sins, pray for physical, spiritual and emotional healing.

  • Praise Sentences: Short prayers thanking God, then pray for shared needs.

  • Prayer Clusters: Groups of 2–3, share requests, pray together, and encourage each other during the week.
