Mark 1:7-8: “John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus to come. John announced: “Someone is coming soon who is greater than I am–so much greater that I’m not even worthy to stoop down like a slave and untie the straps of his sandals. I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!”

1. As John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus, how was ‘the way for the Lord’ prepared in your life?  
2. Who did that preparation? For whom have you ‘prepared the way?’
3. From Mark’s account, and given John’s message, what kind of person was the crowd expecting?
