If we desire to keep our Christian faith simple: love God and love others!  We complicate things when we go outside of those parameters. The Apostle John tells us in 1 John 3:23-24: “And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us. Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.” To believe is more than mere words, there is action involved. I can tell someone I love them 1000 times a day, but if my actions do not follow my words, my words are meaningless.
