Week 7 | Celebration | Day 1

R E A D

Many people have a difficult time celebrating the amazing things God does in their lives. Part of this difficulty is due to life moving so fast that we simply go to the next thing without stopping to appreciate the growth and work God is doing. We see an attitude, a physical posture, and a promise that will hopefully give us some great ideas on how we can celebrate God’s working in our lives. Psalm 134: “Oh, praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, you who serve at night in the house of the Lord. Lift your hands toward the sanctuary,  and praise the Lord. May the Lord, who made heaven and earth, bless you from Jerusalem.” One of the best results of celebrating the great things God has done is sharing those wins with others as an expression of worship and blessing to all.

  1. What thoughts come to mind when I read this passage?
  2. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest…how would I rate myself in celebrating or showing appreciation for the works of God in my life?
  3. How does this passage challenge me to be more expressive in my personal worship style?
  4. What other observations do I have from the text?

R E S P O N D

Schedule time this week at either a park, lake, on a hike or some other serene location thanking the Lord for all he has done, is doing and for what he promises to do for me in the future.

  1. What did I learn about God during this exercise? What did I learn about myself?
  2. With whom will I discuss this? (A person to connect with and keep me accountable)
